When a target sound is detected, it captures the audio, records when it happened, and sends the information directly to the AudioScout app.

What happened after I left?
Like most hunters, I've spent countless mornings in the woods, straining to hear one more distant gobble. I've wondered if I should stay or move. I've walked away from birds that suddenly went quiet, only to spend the rest of the day wondering if they fired back up after I left.
Every hunter knows those questions.
For years, I wished there was a way to know what was happening in the woods when I wasn't there.
Not another trail camera.
Not another game call.
A completely new way to scout.
That idea became Audio Scouting.
Instead of taking pictures, what if a device would listen for the sounds that matter most?
Not just record them... but to turn them into useful scouting intelligence.
That idea eventually became the O.W.L. -- the Omnidirectional Wildlife Locator.

Our Story:
It Started With A Simple Question.
The idea for the O.W.L. came during one of the hardest turkey seasons I ever hunted.
Somewhere between the miles walked, early mornings and too little sleep, an idea began taking shape... and one night an owl showed up in a dream that I have never forgotten.
The true story of how it happened is a little strange. And absolutely worth telling.
